NordicTrack Vault Review

nordictrack vault

The Vault stands 6-feet tall and has a 32″ touchscreen display that hides away and swivels when not in use. It comes loaded with 158 iFit workouts that cover strength, yoga, recovery/mobility/stretching and HIIT training.

NordicTrack doesn’t offer form monitoring like the Tonal and Tempo Fit, so you’re left to self-manage your pacing and form when following along with a class. Thankfully, it’s relatively lightweight and has a good warranty.

What’s in the Box?

The Vault is powered by iFit programming, meaning you’ll be able to access an enormous range of workout classes via its stunning 32-inch smart HD touchscreen. As of the time of writing, a yearly individual iFit membership will set you back $180 and a yearly family plan costs $396.

The base of the NordicTrack vault is quite hefty, which contributes to its stability. It also features a strap on the back for wall bolting to prevent tipping, although it’s not entirely necessary. The shelves that hold the accessories fit securely, although their arrangement could do with being tidier as depicted in product images.

The NordicTrack vault has plenty of built-in storage for equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands. This is a nice touch, as it prevents them from being scattered around the living room floor when not in use.

Convenience

Designed by NordicTrack — a company known for producing a wide range of high-quality treadmills, exercise bikes, and ellipticals — the Vault is both a modern storage solution and a powerhouse fitness tool. It integrates with iFit, one of the big-name streaming fitness apps, and provides access to the entire library of classes for treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals.

The HD touchscreen is a standout feature, offering users an immersive and interactive workout experience. The intuitive interface is easy to navigate and allows you to customize your settings according to your preferences and fitness goals.

However, some customers note that the Vault lacks key features like progress tracking and form monitoring. It also doesn’t come with a built-in fan, which is necessary for cooling down during strength training sessions. And if you want to use the app for virtual coaching, you’ll need to purchase an iFit membership separately. Also, some users have complained about NordicTrack’s customer service, with many reporting problems resolving issues and a lack of assistance.

Safety

Unlike the mirrors offered by Tonal and Mirror, NordicTrack’s Vault also houses workout equipment. This makes it an attractive choice for people who want to stream workouts from iFit but also have the option of using their own weights and kettlebells for additional training options. The cabinet is spacious enough for storing all kinds of fitness accessories like yoga blocks, weights, and more.

Its carbon steel frame should be able to handle the kind of weight that you might put in it, which is important to ensure that it won’t tip over or cause damage to yourself while you’re working out. It’s also available with a 10-year frame warranty, which is a good indication of the confidence that the company has in its design.

The Vault also comes with a 32-inch touchscreen that allows you to access iFit workouts that are curated by NordicTrack’s roster of trainers. The screen can help you self-correct as you follow along with a video of the instructor, making it easier to achieve your fitness goals at home.

Value

While the Vault does offer an impressive array of features, it’s important to keep in mind that it isn’t a replacement for personal training or live classes. That said, it’s an excellent alternative if you prefer trainer-led workout routines over the standard equipment that is found at a traditional gym.

The NordicTrack Vault is an impressive smart studio that combines the convenience of hideaway storage with interactive fitness tech. It’s the brand’s direct response to competitors like Tempo Fit, Tonal, and Mirror, and is packed with their iFit system that streams on-demand workouts on its large screen.

Whether you opt for the standard model or the fully loaded Vault Complete, you can expect to get access to a variety of strength, yoga, and HIIT workouts that will keep your exercise routine interesting. However, you should note that the Vault is incredibly heavy (258 pounds) and will require an extra pair of hands to set up.
